Marketing tactics to grow your business: social media

By now, you should have a better understanding of digital marketing—if not, you still have time to catch up. Content marketing falls under the digital marketing umbrella and we discussed how, when used effectively, content marketing and storytelling can impact the way readers interact with your brand.

This week, we are focusing on social media marketing and how using social media effectively can strengthen your reputation and build your company’s web presence.

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, YouTube—the list keeps growing. In fact, we just talked about a new one, TiKTok.  Social networks continue to pop up, but some are tried and true when it comes to business growth and profitability.

Social media allows your audience to interact with your business. Through interaction and reactions, you have the potential to develop trust with your audience and extend your reach (that’s the number of people who see your company). Let’s focus on three of the most important reasons your business should be engaging with current or potential customers through social media.

Benefits of social media for business:

Increase brand awareness and loyalty

When you share valuable information, useful content and even show your company’s “fun” side, you are putting your best face in front of your customers and—guess what!—they love it.

Show who you are and what your brand is all about through the various platforms.

Improved customer relations

Once you are in the habit of posting on social channels regularly, you can strengthen your position as an industry leader. Your customers can connect with you in a simple way and build deeper relationships through your reliable availability. When your customers feel as if they can access you and have your ear, you establish yourself with them and you will have a lifetime customer.

Connects you with your target audience

According to We Are Social, social media users numbered more than 3 billion in 2019. Chances are pretty high that your target audience is already engaging with others on a social media platform, so now you need to meet them where they are.

The benefits of using social media to meet your goals outweigh the negatives; in fact, there are so many positives to using social media we can’t and won’t list them, but I will look the other way if you want to Google it.

Each social media channel has different functions and, in turn, attracts a different audience. Now is when your social media strategy comes into play. If you don’t have one handy, don’t fret! Our team is all about strategic targeting and can evaluate your current plan or even help you create one.
